Consumer Products

Managed a team that re-engineered the accounts receivable function and implemented a new client server accounts receivable system at a $5 billion consumer products company. The project team documented actual collection recoveries -- due to the process improvements -- of more than $3 million during its year duration. The engagement first required the team to assess, evaluate and change the existing processes surrounding receivables management (cash application, dispute resolution and chargebacks) in a fifteen person department. The team then designed and managed user acceptance testing and system deployment for the concurrent new accounts receivable systems development effort that would support the improved procedures.

In response to anticipated regulatory changes and restrictions, we assisted a major consumer products company in defining requirements and preparing a detailed design for an Integrated Environmental Management System (IEMS). This client server application's objective was to monitor and report the environmental compliance and material recycling status of a 100 location manufacturing and distribution network.

Designed and implemented new manual and automated systems for the sales order processing/customer service, inventory control, production, and accounting functions for a start-up sports marketing company that separated from a major consumer products company. The start-up needed to define requirements, evaluate "turnkey" systems vendor, select and implement distribution and accounting business applications. The start-up company was experiencing 300% annual revenue growth.
